Anna double majored in Studio Art and French at Beloit, and was also able to do graphic design work and posters for the Beloit Biology Department thanks to her coursework in Graphic Design. Her plans to continue in that field changed when an opportunity to work abroad brought her to France, where she still lives and works today. After obtaining a master’s degree in Adult Education and Training from the University of Nantes in 2010, she is now a self-employed English language trainer, helping professionals acquire English skills for jobs in international environments.

Art is still a huge part of her life. She is part of a group of artists who regularly meet to sketch or visit exhibits, and she participates in local artistic competitions and exhibitions, either alone or as part of a team of artists. In winter, she designs and carves snow sculptures from 4-cubic-meter snow blocks in international competitions with Team USA Illinois, currently as captain of the team. In addition to her own artwork, she is involved in several joint projects with other artists, combining different media, perspectives and experience.
