Beloit has hired its first director for the Powerhouse.

Stephen Robinson, who most recently held the position of global education director at the National Ability Center in Park City, Utah, will start on August 6.

Stephen oversaw the largest adaptive recreation program in the world and expanded the reach of adaptive recreation into the community locally, domestically and abroad while working at the National Ability Center.

He envisions the Powerhouse as a “vibrant, welcoming and truly inclusive space where all Beloiters collide to interact, build community and have a little fun while we’re at it,” according to an email announcement from Dean of Students Christina Klawitter on the hire.
