Anti-Racist Language in Job Postings

Beloit College is committed to being an anti-racist college.

One of the ways Beloit aspires to be an anti-racist college is to make this stance clear to all prospective employees in ads and postings for job openings, whether for faculty or staff positions.Starting this summer, the following language is being included in announcements for openings at the college:

We recognize our aspiration as ongoing and institution-wide, involving collective commitment and accountability. We welcome employees who are committed to and will actively contribute to our efforts to celebrate our cultural and intellectual richness and be resolute in advancing inclusion and equity. We encourage all interested individuals meeting the criteria of the described position to apply.”
