Making an Entrance

The once uninspiring entrance to Strong Stadium, with its chain link gate and narrow entrance, received a major upgrade over the summer.

The project, spearheaded by the 1889 Council (alumni and friends who support Beloit College Athletics), widened the entryway and road into the stadium complex, added lighted brick pillars, bold signage, a side entrance, and a new eight-foot-tall aluminum gate.

  • Assistant Professor of Political Science Ron Nikora has been recruiting volunteers to take part in training with local police officers to further understanding between both groups. His research interests include the politics of race and ethnicity, domestic and global health inequalities, national health care systems, and public health policy. He joined Beloit in 2013.
