Job: Physical Scientist with the US EPA

Major: Environmental Geology and Spanish

Typical job responsibilities: Working with wetlands and underground injection sites to ensure that water protection legislation is being followed. Research skills are important. While most of the work is in the office, fieldwork and travel are required periodically, probably one to two times a month.

Education level for an entry-level position: Bachelor’s Degree

Advice for current Beloit College students: Network with everyone you can! Talk to other Beloit College graduates with similar interests, ask your professors if they know of anyone to connect you with, and reach out to the Alumni Office or Career Services for other alumni in your field or where you live.
