Job: Restoration Crew Leader Mariani Landscape

Major: Environmental Geology and Biology Majors

Typical job responsibilities: Restoration work on private properties, native landscaping, invasive weed control, native planting and seeding, and prescribed burns.

Advice for current Beloit College students: Apply to internships or volunteer at nature preserves. My summer internship after graduating led to my part-time, entry-level Land Restoration Technician position, which allowed me to explore other work with a second part-time job and gain additional certifications (herbicide license and prescribed burn training). This led to my current full-time job as a Restoration Crew Leader.
