Museum Studies Alumna Curates New Exhibit
During the last year she worked on the exhibit, Stories of Life on “the Prairie,” which takes as its focus the history of Pleasant Prairie from the Native Americans who were the first residents to its formation as a village in 1989. Kate wrote the exhibit text, chose the graphics and artifacts, worked with a museum design firm to create the look of the exhibit, and created the mounts for the artifacts. Her exhibit is the first long-term exhibit for the Pleasant Prairie History Museum. The Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting for the new exhibit space in the Dublin School building was scheduled for August, 26, 2020, but due to recent events in nearby Kenosha, WI the opening was postponed.
