34th Annual Econ Day: A Playground for Professionals
Econ Day is an annual event that provides current students interested in business, economics, and entrepreneurship with the opportunity to have one-on-one discussions with the alumni to ask for practical advice and information about their areas of expertise. This year, the trip was divided into three main sections, designed especially to get students informed about the work of entrepreneurs and within the discipline of data analytics.
The first section was held in Make City, a business incubator in Chicago, where students could hear young entrepreneurs present their ideas and products, as well as ask questions. After the tour in Make City, the bus continued to head towards the University of Chicago’s Keller Center for two alumni panels and informal networking sessions. Students who are in need to widen their network or would like to ask for advice from the expects are provided with internal opportunities to achieve their goals during these two sections.
While getting prepared for future careers may be stressful, students participating in the trip agreed that they found themselves enjoying the professional environment offered throughout Econ Day.
