Manuel Ferreira hired as Logan Museum Curator
Manuel Ferreira will be the Logan Museum of Anthropology’s new curator. He is currently completing a masters degree in anthropology with a concentration in museums and heritage studies at the University of Denver.
Manuel brings extensive experience gained from his work at the Milwaukee Public Museum, Field Museum, Denver Museum of Nature and Science, and Denver Museum of Anthropology. At Beloit, he will be responsible for collections management and care and exhibit development at the Logan Museum. He will also annually teach a course in exhibit development in conjunction with the Museum Studies Program. He will begin remote work on June 6.
Manuel replaces Nicolette Meister, who served as Logan’s curator of collections for nearly two decades and was promoted last year to the James E. Lockwood Jr. Director of the Logan Museum of Anthropology.
