Whole student study abroad

Twins Quisi and Zimri Rodriguez-Oregel ’21 utilize Weissberg Program scholarships for a justice-based and well-rounded study abroad experience in England.

Twins Zimri and Quisi Rodriguez-Oregel ’21 came to Beloit College from southern California to study international relations (Quisi) and sociology (Zimri). Weissberg Program Study Abroad Equity Scholarships will help both students meet the cost of round-trip airfare to London where they will study at Goldsmiths. Quisi plans to deepen her understanding of political anthropology by studying public responses to Brexit, while Zimri will focus on applications of sociological concepts. Both Zimri and Quisi will couple their studies with participation in Goldsmith societies (clubs) that focus on meeting community members’ needs. Goldsmith’s focus on creativity is the perfect match for the twins’ studies and long-term ambitions to address the needs of marginalized populations.
