College Enlists Trained Contact Tracers

Two employees will work closely with the Rock County Public Health Department as well as the college’s Health and Wellness Center to track exposure to the virus on campus.

Elaina Szyjewski, director of campus events, and Angela Bishop, president’s house manager, have added “contact tracer” to their duties, following their completion of the COVID-19 Contact Tracing course offered by Johns Hopkins University.

In addition to the having contact tracers on campus, a newsletter from the COVID-19 Task Force also reminds campus to do their daily wellness checks, shares that the Health & Wellness Center will have COVID tests available, and asks students to remain safe during the extended Labor Day weekend.
