“Updated: Spring Semester COVID-19 guidelines” letter sent to Beloit students

Dear Students,

As a reminder for returning to campus, there are two important requirements.

1. All students are required to submit proof of a negative COVID test, taken within three days of your arrival on campus.

You must submit your result to this google form. Residential Life will not be able to activate your card if you do not submit the required documentation to the google form.

If you test positive or have received a positive COVID test result within the last 90 days, submit your documentation to the form and to Tara Girard (girardtm@beloit.edu). Tara will follow up with further instructions. A positive test result requires one week of isolation from the date of the test or first day of symptoms, whichever is earliest. You are not allowed to move to campus until the seven-day isolation period is complete.

Students will not be allowed to move to campus without proof of one of the above. There are no exceptions.

2. Beloit College instituted a COVID-19 booster shot requirement.

Beloit College instituted a COVID-19 booster shot requirement. Students must submit their booster shot documentation to the google form, as well. If you are eligible to receive a booster shot (two months past J&J vaccine, five months past Moderna/Pfizer and six months past a vaccine received outside the U.S.), but have not done so by Jan. 28,, then you are required to attend weekly testing. Students requiring weekly testing, which begins Feb. 1, will receive more information via email.

Students who are unable to get vaccines or boosters due to medical, religious or strong philosophical objections must sign a waiver. Reach out to the Health and Wellness Center (healthcenter@beloit.edu) for information.

Conclusion

Getting tested, receiving a COVID-19 booster, and following protective practices will allow us to continue to have the on-campus experience that we all want this spring. Please be considerate.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

Be well
