Need a book or article that the library doesn’t have? Let us know and we will get it for you.
A library cannot own everything that anyone might want at any time. Two options exist for providing you with materials not currently owned by the Beloit College library. Faculty, students, and staff can either request that the library purchase a particular item or that an item is obtained for a short-term loan through Interlibrary Loan.
Current Beloit College students and faculty and staff living in Rock County can also borrow materials directly from the Beloit Public Library. To apply for a borrower’s card, Beloit College students should take their college IDs and state ID or license.
Submit this completed form to request the purchase of an item to be added to the library collection.
Our Interlibrary Loan service locates and obtains materials wanted by students, faculty, and staff that are not in Beloit’s collection. Textbooks and articles assigned for reading by a class are not eligible for ILL. Allow about 7 to 10 days for receipt of items requested through Interlibrary Loan.
When you find a book or article of interest in the catalog that is not available in Beloit’s collection, simply click on Request Item through Interlibrary Loan, fill in the information about yourself, and submit.
