Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
The interlibrary loan service obtains for students, faculty and staff, materials that are not in Beloit's collection. The service supports the teaching and learning goals of Beloit College and is free to College users. However, each request costs the College approximately $10.00.
The best way to submit book requests is via the catalog. Find the item you need, click on Request Item, fill in the information about yourself, and submit. Tip: In the results list, you may want to change "Sort By" to Relevance Only. There is also a book request form and an article request form.
Class requirements/textbooks are not eligible for ILL.
eBooks: we have no way to borrow or receive eBooks at this time
For materials available at Beloit Public Library, current Beloit College students, local faculty, and staff may borrow directly with them. To apply for a borrower's card, students should take their college IDs and state ID or license.
Note: Obtaining DVDs, videos, and CDs via ILL is often difficult. Because our priority is to supply materials to support College classes, we ask that students use alternative sources to obtain items not relevant to their courses of study.
Allow about 10 to 15 days for receipt.

Off-Campus Access to Databases
Once you’ve found the resource’s persistent URL, you’ll then need to add EZproxy URL information
to the URL to allow off-campus access if such information is not already present (appearing
as “ezproxy.beloit.edu” somewhere within the URL). To do this, simply prepend the following snippet to the URL: https://ezproxy.beloit.edu/login?url= When Beloit College students, faculty, and staff attempt to access a college resource from off-campus, you will be taken to an authentication screen. Simply enter your Beloit username and password to log in. See the EZproxy FAQ for more information.
