Campus and Community Outreach Center (CCOC)

The Campus and Community Outreach Center, commonly called the CCOC, is Beloit's volunteer center. The CCOC connects students with one time or ongoing service opportunities which allow them to engage in and acquaint themselves with the greater Beloit community.

Just as importantly, our team's mission is to maintain and build strong, lasting community partnerships in the greater Beloit area. We work with community organizations that are seeking to promote their programs, help to coordinate various student-led volunteer initiatives on and off campus, and recruit and send Beloit College students far and wide to assist in volunteer efforts.

Serve to Lead

Ready to serve? There are countless ways to connect with Beloit and other Stateline area organizations and begin the process of becoming a volunteer. To connect with on-going volunteer opportunities at any time day or night, search the Beloit Toolbox You can also stop in at LAPC or make an appointment to meet with a CCOC coordinator to discuss how to get involved in the right opportunity.

Our coordinators have compiled an updated list of volunteer opportunities in the Stateline Area. Review the document to become more familiar with the great organizations we partner with!

Volunteer Opportunities

Get Involved

Voces Latinas, Turtle Tunes, and Todd Reading Club are just several of the many of Beloit's active clubs and organizations that are invested in community service!

Give Blood

Each academic year the CCOC, the Rock River Valley Blood Center, and Be The Match coordinate four on-campus blood drives and marrow registries. Each drive engages thirty student volunteers and up to one hundred donors from the Beloit College community!

The next fall blood drive will take place on November 5th from noon-5:30pm in Mather's Lounge in Pearson's Hall.

We need student volunteers for a variety of shifts.  You could help set up, greet students who come to donate, write down their information, and tear down. The link here has the detailed descriptions of each shift and you can sign up for as many shifts as you would like.

If you would like to donate blood, please sign up at the Health or Wellness Center or click HERE to sign up online.
