What we mean by The Liberal Arts in Practice
For nearly 50 years, Beloit College has been at the forefront of providing students with a rigorous, time tested liberal arts education that is challenged and enhanced by real world, hands-on experiences.
Today, we call this commitment and curriculum the Liberal Arts in Practice.
Collected on this site are examples of how our students are routinely testing the lessons of the classroom in real time while doing mentored internships, projects, and research on and off campus. You can also read a partial listing of recent Liberal Arts in Practice project titles or view International Symposium (fall) and Student Symposium (spring) presentation topics to get a sense of the various ways students are currently completing their LA in P requirements.
