Getting a Beloit College Email Account
Email/Network accounts are offered to all students, staff, and faculty of Beloit College at no charge. Beloit College uses Google Apps for Education for email. Each Google Apps for Education account comes with over 25 GB (and growing) of email storage space. Students, faculty, and staff may also create personal web pages using Google Sites and store files using Google Docs.
Note: One must have a Beloit College email account in order to gain access to the college network with a personal computer or other personal network devices.

New students obtain their accounts either through the admissions process or during orientation. Accounts may also be obtained throughout the semester in the IT office during posted hours. Student accounts are closed after graduation and archived up to one year before removal.
Faculty and staff obtain an account by contacting the IT Office. Depending on the circumstances, faculty and staff accounts may be obtained before or after the person's employment start date. Accounts will be closed upon termination of employment. Depending on the circumstances, full accounts or forwarding may be maintained for a specified period of time after employment termination with written (or email) authorization from the appropriate Vice President.
Beloit College offers (@alumni.beloit.edu) Google email addresses to all alumni. In order to obtain an address, fill out the email request form. Upon approval from Alumni Affairs an account will be established with your last name followed by your first initial, middle initial, or a number if necessary to be unique. The email address will be firstname.lastname@example.org.
