The Beloit College
Information Services and Resources (ISR) Division provides access to information resources, supports their use, and serves as a center for engaged learning.  Staff located in Mayer Hall and Col. Robert H. Morse Library and Richard Black Information Center collaborate and consult with faculty, students, and staff to provide a learning and living environment dedicated to the cultivation of liberally educated persons.

Library provides access to the online catalog (BELCAT), a rich collection of electronic resources, and information about Beloit College Library services.

Information Technology (IT)
provides technology resources and services to students, faculty, and staff. Policies related to technology purchases, the Academic Technology Fund Plan (ATF) for faculty equipment replacements and other Library and IT services can be found on the ISR Plans and Policies page.

  • Google Analytics Brown Bag this Friday

    This is a friendly reminder that the ISR Learning Committee will be hosting a Brown Bag this Friday from 12:00--1:00, in Science Center 150. We will be discussing Google Analytics - how you track statistics for sites you administer. All are welcome and we look forward to seeing you there!   • Picasa Brown Bag on Friday (Nov. 18)

  • Jenzabar Project Update: November 8, 2011

    October was another busy month for the Jenzabar team!  IT staff learned how to configure servers and install software while the rest of the team sat down with Jenzabar trainers to begin configuring and learning to use Jenzabar EX.  For a full project update, check out the Jenzabar Project Implementation website.

  • Beloit College Radio Collection Preview

    To celebrate the first annual College Radio Day on October 11, the library is pleased to offer a special sneak preview of a new digital collection containing historical images and documents related to the history of WBCR 90.3 FM, Beloit College Radio!   This collection is being developed for the library by Matt Heindel, a practicum student from University of Wisconsin's School of Library and Information Studies.  The complete collection is expected to arrive in early 2012, but you can view the in-progress collection at

  • Jenzabar Project Update: Oct 4, 2011

    September has been a busy month for Jenzabar Project team members.  The module managers worked hard to complete configuration worksheets prior to the September 30th deadline.  All worksheets were completed on time and have been sent to the Jenzabar trainers.  October brings Training Trip 3 where module managers will put the configuration worksheets to good use when they begin actually configuring Jenzabar EX.  For a full project update, please check out the Jenzabar Implementation Project website.

  • New Digital Collection Additions

    The past several months have been busy for the Beloit College Digital Collections!  One new collection has been added, and three older collections now have new items.

    The areas of Instructional Technology and Audio-Visual Media Services (AVMS) will now be called Instructional Technology & Multimedia Support (ITMS). Jedidiah Rex will continue to lead this team as the Manager of Instructional Technology & Multimedia Support. As Instructional Technology & Multimedia Support Specialists, Denzil Showers and Adam Dinnes will continue to provide the campus support and instruction related to multimedia technology in the classrooms and for special events.

  • Jenzabar Project Update 09/06/2011

    The Jenzabar project is moving along and on schedule. In the past month, we've had Jenzabar consultants on campus to discuss what data to move, we've extracted data out of Datatel Colleague and sent it to Jenzabar for mapping into EX, and our module managers have kept very busy doing homework.  Next steps will be to install the Jenzabar EX servers and software.  Check out the Jenzabar Implementation Project Website for a full update.
