HEDS Teaching Quality Survey

The Teaching Quality Survey is a survey based on Wabash National Study. All Beloit College students were invited to participate in the 2015-16 academic year, the first time Beloit College participated.

The survey asks students about their experiences at Beloit College related to high quality teaching, including the quality of their non-classroom interactions with faculty, their professors' interest in teaching and student development, their professors' clarity and organization, and how promptly they received feedback. The findings of Wabash National Study showed that the survey questions are "correlated with growth on a host of outcomes including critical thinking, interest in engaging intellectually difficult questions, moral reasoning, academic motivation, retention, grades, and interest in and attitudes about diversity."
