Admissions Counselor/Assistant Director of Admissions
Beloit College invites applications for the position of Admission Counselor/Assistant Director of Admission in a dynamic, fast-paced enrollment division responsible for enrolling and re-enrolling a diverse and talented student body for a nationally ranked liberal arts college.
The Admission Counselor/Assistant Director of Admission serves as a member of Beloit’s domestic, first-year admission counseling team tasked with developing and executing outreach strategies at the individual level, shepherding students through the college search process, and serving as key coordinators in connecting prospective students to appropriate ambassadors of a Beloit education. Reporting to the Associate Director of Admission and collaborating closely with colleagues across the enrollment division, key responsibilities of this role include:
- Developing and executing an enrollment recruitment plan tailored to an assigned cohort of prospective students.
- Managing an admission counseling territory, including developing partnerships with high school counselors, evaluating strategies, and completing 4-8 weeks of recruitment travel annually.
- Communicating with prospective students and those around them about Beloit as a college search option.
- Participating in elements of the college’s applicant selection process.
The successful candidate will have a genuine appreciation for the liberal arts, as well as connecting high school students to opportunities to fulfill their educational goals. Attention to detail, a high degree of organization, and comfort working in a nimble, fast-paced work environment are essential.
Candidates who wish to pursue this role at the Assistant Director level should have 2-5 years of previous experience in enrollment management, admission, campus visit programs, and/or related fields. Working knowledge of Slate or other modern CRM products are preferred for Assistant Director Candidates.
