Director - Web and Digital Communications

Beloit College seeks an enthusiastic, multi-dimensional Web and Digital Communications Director to oversee the planning, standards, design, development, content, and integrity of the college’s website, with a central focus on the college’s educational mission and the institution’s goals of equity and inclusivity. The Director will focus largely on top-level pages, sites and assets that support the recruitment, enrollment and demand cultivation initiatives of the College as well as building a best-in- class site that drives the College’s fundraising efforts. 

The Director will serve as manager, strategist, editor and full stack practitioner to advance college web digital communications initiatives, leveraging sophisticated best practices in web programming, user experience design, interface development and content strategy. Diverse knowledge, experience and relentless curiosity are a must for the Director in order to effectively navigate the College’s various constituencies and structures. For a complete job description click here.

Minimum Associate’s degree plus experience or Bachelor’s degree in a directly related design field and demonstrated experience in design, development and maintenance of web sites required. Proficiency with HTML, Javascript, PHP, mySQL and CSS; working knowledge of modern web development software (Adobe Photoshop, etc.) is essential. Familiarity with the complexity of large scale web sites and/or experience using an open source content management system highly desirable. Developmental experience related to mobile applications a plus.
