We're looking forward to perfect weather, smiles, laughter, and time for you to reunite with your Beloiter during Family & Friends Weekend. A preliminary schedule for the weekend is below.


Friday, September 18, 9 a.m.-7 p.m.
Saturday, September 19, 9 a.m.-Noon

Make the Alumni House at 613 College St. your first stop when you arrive on campus. Final schedules, Beloit freebies, parade information, campus maps, scavenger hunt and Frisbee golf maps, snacks and beverages will be available. Stop on by, come back often. Welcome!

2 p.m.  Historic Buildings Tour: Academic Side with Fred Burwell, Meet at Library
Walk through history with Fred Burwell, our campus archivist

4-5 p.m. Meet & Greet with FYI Leaders and Student Affairs Staff
Ask questions and learn more about the unique opportunities available to your Beloiter

4:30 p.m.  Athletic Practices Open, various locations
Don’t forget your gym shorts, Beloit t-shirts, or sneakers—it’s time for practice!

4:30-6 p.m.  Weissberg Human Rights Alumni Panel, Room 101, Center for the Sciences
Join students and alumni in a conversation about working in human right

5-6 p.m. Senior Bio Majors/Sustainability Fellows/Beloit Biomedical Scholars Posters, Atrium, Center for the Sciences

Take a stroll through amazing student work

6 p.m.  
Homecoming Parade line-up, Emerson St.

6:20 p.m.  Homecoming Parade, Best viewing at the Wall (Chapin Quad)
Enjoy the creativity marching, rolling, and honking down the street; this is a must-see event

6:45 p.m.  Dinner in and around Beloit, Commons
Enjoy dining in Commons (pay at the door) or test out our local fare downtown

8-10 p.m.  Rooftop Observatory, weather permitting
Enjoy the view from the roof of the LEED-certified Center for the Sciences. Should the weather be favorable, take a closer look with the telescopes



8 a.m.- 1 p.m.  Farmers Market, downtown Beloit
Stroll through downtown and take advantage of a variety of local fruits, veggies, handmade goods, jams, and more

8:30-9:15 a.m. Conversation and Continental Breakfast with the President

10 a.m.-1 p.m.  Olde English Classic Festivities, Leeson Park

Bugle call and pistol shot at 10 a.m. Cheer on the runners or join President Bierman in the open run (at 10 a.m.). Stay to support the Bucs. Intercollegiate races: 11 a.m., Women; 12 p.m., Men

10 a.m.-Noon  Theta Pi Gamma Brunch, Theta house (the little blue house)
Join the sisters for refreshments, reminiscing, a peek at the scrapbooks, and fun

10 a.m.  Kappa Delta Alumnae, Family and Friends Brunch, 840 College St. (KD house)
Kappa Delta alumnae, family and friends, please join us in our new home at 840 College Street. Enjoy brunch from 10 to noon, then let's head over to Strong Stadium for some tailgating before the game!

10:30 a.m.-Noon  Campus Tour with Admissions, Meet at Middle College
Another opportunity to see campus through your Beloiter's eyes

11 a.m.-1:30 p.m.  Family, Friends, and Alumni Tailgate, Strong Stadium

Pile in the car and head down to the stadium. Take your grill and some hotdogs and tailgate or enjoy our delicious food and then head into the stands in your blue and gold to cheer on the Bucs! Kids games, and more, too. Please provide your own beverages

1 p.m.  Football game vs. Lawrence University, Strong Stadium

2 p.m.  Mounds Tour with Bill Green

Take a guided tour of the 20 Native American Indian mounds built in A.D. 400–1200

6 p.m.  Athletic Hall of Honor Induction Dinner, Center for the Sciences Atrium
Join us for an evening to remember as we recognize the efforts and contributions of former Beloit College student-athletes and coaches who have left an indelible mark on Buccaneer Athletics

10 p.m.-12:30 a.m.  Homecoming Ball, Pearsons Hall, 1st Floor

Join Professor Darrah Chavey and Development's IT Specialist Peggy Weisensel Chavey on the dance floor—all styles and levels welcome



8-10:30 a.m.  Family and Alumni Breakfast hosted by Senior Class Officers, Commons
