She’s positive, hardworking, empathetic, and a curious learner who taught me about cultural differences, new perspectives, and unconditional kindness. I’ll miss our lengthy chats about America versus Japan and pre-workout catch-ups, but I’m excited to visit her at Columbia University or in Japan.”</p><p> “Rie transferred to Beloit from Yokohama National University College where she had been studying physics and mathematics. She came to Beloit to study biology and has done very well at it! She plans to start graduate school in the fall to study neuroscience and animal behavior. She will bring a rich background in science and mathematics to her studies.”</p><p> “Rie transferred to Beloit from a university in Japan and in her short time here was an exceptional student.
