She has shown great leadership through her involvement in the dance department and being a TA.”

“Britney certainly has been strong enough to withstand her share of adversity while at Beloit. She remained courageous enough to share these struggles, and when we would meet a month later, she could reflect on and explain how she overcame those problems. It always made me appreciate her persistence and patience. Britney also stood out as a leader for SEL, serving as one of our peer mentors. Her influence was so strong, in fact, that one of her former mentees applied to become a peer mentor herself. During the interview, when we asked this particular student why she wanted to be a peer mentor, she said it was because of Britney. The student recalled seeing Britney in Commons after her study abroad. She was almost in tears, seeing her former mentor, and it was then she realized what an impact Britney had on her.”
