During her time at Beloit College, Olivia has excelled as a student, researcher scholar, and peer mentor. Olivia is motivated to learn by doing and she has demonstrated this by engaging in numerous biological experiences in and out of the classroom. She conducted field and laboratory research with frogs, she engaged in a Field Museum internship cataloging insects, and she studied abroad to expand her world view. She has left her mark on the Biology Department as a contributing student representative and on her fellow STEM-minded students as a peer mentor for the WiscAMP program. Olivia has the skill and drive to successfully pursue a career in science, in which, she plans to investigate the impacts of climate change on ecological systems.”</p><p> “Olivia is my FYI advisee. She has done great work during the FYI seminar and she is motivated in her pursuit of her interest in biology and conservation. I see Olivia around campus sometimes and am happy to see how she is engaged in many aspects of campus life.”</p><p> “Olivia loves bugs! She is completing her degree in Ecology, Evolution, and Behavioral Biology, served as a student representative to the Biology Department, and studied abroad in at the University of Sussex. She spent the summer of 2019 studying bumblebees at the Blandy Experimental Farm of the University of Virginia.
