How philosophy and pop culture are related: professor explains in new video

“I think there can be a misconception about philosophy, that it’s not about questions that matter to our lives,” said Associate Professor of Philosophy Matt Tedesco. In a new video, he posits that that sentiment couldn’t be further from the truth, using pop culture as a frame of reference.

For example--James Bond, with his license to kill. Is it morally problematic that he’s engaging in assassination? Is a Facebook friendship really a friendship, and how can Aristotle help answer that question? How does Game of Thrones relate to biomedical ethics?
