A fest that really ties the campus together: Lebowski Fest 2013

April 17, 2013

Lebowski Fest 3

The Beloit Abides Bowling Club is branching out. This weekend, the club is sponsoring the inaugural Beloit College Lebowski Fest.

The purpose of Lebowski Fest is to celebrate the infamous cult classic film and the philosophy it inspired,” says Weston Anderson’13, president and founder of the BABC.

The event will also serve as a fundraiser for local charities, and is being co-sponsored by Peace and Justice and Better Together.

According to Anderson, Lebowski Fest primarily consists of a free bowling night Friday and a screening of the movie The Big Lebowski Saturday, with other supporting events taking place. (See a complete listing of the events below, if you’re not into the whole brevity thing.)

Concessions will be provided during the movie, by Bon Appetit. Moviegoers can purchase concessions using cash, turtle bucks, and meal-plan flex cash.
