Advising Practicum again garners national attention

Beloit College recently held its third Advising Practicum, and its successes were mentioned this week in an article on

“Student advising plays key role in college success – just as it’s being cut,” a piece produced by The Hechinger Report. The article was picked up by on Tuesday (Nov. 13). In the article, Natalie Gummer, co-director of first- and second-year programs at Beloit, told reporter Jon Marcus, “We’re trying to help them prepare to move from a liberal-arts education into the job market. And (Advising Practicum) helps to keep them on track.”
