#Chillin4Charity: BC basketball coaches accept philanthropic challenge (video)

July 13, 2014

The video is silly but the cause is a serious one: college coaches across the country are calling each other out to either face the challenge of getting publicly doused with a bucket of ice water to raise awareness of the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, or donate $250 to the organization, which raises money to fund scientific research to fight cancer.

Kay Yow was the former North Carolina State University basketball coach; you can read more about the organization here. You can read more about the #Chillin4Charity challenge here.

Coach Lauren Johnson of Ripon College and Coach Jason Averkamp of Lynn University called on Beloit College Women’s Basketball Coach Jennifer McCormick and Assistant Coach Kyle McCormick to complete the challenge. The results? See for yourself, below.
