The Wall undergoes reconstructive efforts

July 7, 2014

The Wall: it’s a Beloit institution, and it’s getting rebuilt. This accessibility ramp and informal social gathering place is undergoing some reconstruction, and will be ready--and safe--for use in a matter of weeks, before students return to campus.

"The project was needed due to severe deterioration of the exterior brick, and brick falling off of The Wall, which is a safety hazard both for those using the ramp and for those sitting on The Wall," explains Tom Viel, the college's director of facilities. The timeline for completing the project (it will be rebuilt exactly as it was) is July 11.
