Beloit College officials will perform a regularly scheduled test of the college’s emergency alert system at noon on Wednesday (June 18), followed at 12:05 p.m. with another test.
Students on campus for the summer, as well as faculty and staff, should receive phone, email, and text messages from the system at both times. All messages will be clearly identified as "TEST" alerts. The purpose of the two tests is to test the alert system's ability to quickly deliver multiple messages in a short time frame, particularly over the campus phone system.
There is no need to register for the tests—contact information is automatically populated. If you experience any problems (such as incomplete or missed messages), please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and a short message detailing those issues. Thank you for your patience during these tests.
