The Anthropology Club will be hosting members of Beloit’s very own women’s flat-track roller derby league, The Beloit Bombshells, tonight (Wednesday, April 2) at 8 p.m. in the Anthro House.
“Krash Macabre,” (Krista Barry’15) a Beloit anthropology student and member of the team, will be discussing roller derby culture, as well as explaining the basics of gameplay in preparation for the Bombshells’ last home bout of the season. Faculty and students alike are invited to Anthro House to hear all about roller derby prior to Saturday’s bout. The Beloit Bombshells is a non-profit roller derby team that focuses on community involvement, charitable work, and athleticism; advance tickets for this weekend’s bout will be available for purchase at tonight’s event.
