Second Annual Giving Day a Great Success

The Beloit College community is generous and showed its heart and soul during its second annual Giving Day on Wednesday, April 20, 2016. In just 24 hours, the college raised over $65,000 from more than 450 supporters.

Not only did the gifts far surpass the original goal of $25,000, the event also raised $25,000 more than last year. Beloit is touched by the fantastic response received from supporters and is grateful to be backed by such a strong foundation of alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends. These gifts help make ‪#‎BeloitPossible for the next generation of Turtles, Bucs, and Beloiters.

The unconditional support, enthusiastically offered by our alumni, parents, and friends is a tribute to the character of our community, and the value that we all collectively recognize in the mission we seek to advance. We at Beloit are privileged to have a community so willing to invest in the future of our great institution, and our students. For this, we are grateful,” said Mark Wold’95, Senior Director of Alumni & Parent Relations and Annual Support.

Winter break building information, from security

December 20, 2013 at 7:47 am

Starting at 5 p.m. tonight (Friday) and through 7 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, campus building will be locked, according to the college’s security department. Faculty and staff keys and key cards allow normal access to buildings; the west door of Pearsons will be unlocked from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Students working over the break will need approval for access. Please contact security regarding access needs and contact residence life regarding ID card access.  

Sports Center hours:

The Sports Center is already closed, and will remain closed until Thursday, Jan. 2 at 11 a.m., at which time winter break hours will be in effect until the beginning of second semester.  

Winter break hours are:

  • Monday-Friday: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Saturday: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Sunday: Closed

Normal second semester hours will begin on January 20.

Library Hours:

Jan. 2 - Jan. 19

  • Monday-Friday:  9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Saturday-Sunday: Closed

Logan and Wright Museums:

Will be open to the public Saturday, Dec. 21, and Sunday, Dec. 22, 10:45 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Both museums will open again on Jan. 14, from 10:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Jan. 19.
