Holiday choral singers aim to support food pantry

December 4, 2013

Several Beloit College choirs--Anacrusis, the Chamber Singers, and the Masterworks Chorus--will be performing Sunday (Dec. 8) at 4:30 p.m. in Eaton Chapel, in an event that has become a beloved holiday tradition, the Holiday Choral Concert.

Though the concert is free and open to the public, conductor Susan Rice explains that the choirs are hoping that concert attendees are willing to support a good cause by bringing a non-perishable food item to the event, which will benefit Beloit’s Caritas food pantry.

“The concert, as always, is free, but the singers hope audience members will help Caritas replenish their cupboards as Christmas nears,” Rice says.
