Name: Hannah McNamee’15
Hometown: Mahtomedi, Minn.
Major/minor: Psychology major, health and society and Spanish minors.
What brought me to Beloit: The beautiful campus, small class sizes, opportunities to participate in anything and everything, and the fact that students here are so open-minded, nice, and passionate about learning.
My favorite class so far, and why you should take it: Sex and Power with Catherine Orr. It completely opened my eyes to the ideas of feminism, and obviously sex and power. It's fun, challenging, interesting, and I learned so much.
You may have seen me: In the BITE production, Popcorn, last year.
The best book I’ve read at Beloit: The Road, a dystopian novel we read in English 190.
Why you should come see me in The Memorandum: It's a smart, funny, and satisfying show! It's set in the 1960s so the costumes are really fun. Most of all, we've all been working really hard to create an awesome show that will make you laugh and think about language in a new way.
What’s on your desert island jukebox? Die Antwoord, Harry Potter on audiobook, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, and James Taylor.
What can’t you live without? My friends, my family, and cheese.
What are you most looking forward to? Studying abroad in Costa Rica next semester!
What gets you up in the morning? My roommate Karen getting ready. She always has an earlier day than me so it's great being able to lie in bed and slowly wake up as she rushes out.
