Beloit College Magazine staff received word on Oct. 31 that the publication received a 2013 Pride of CASE District V Award. The honor recognizes institutions and individuals who demonstrate outstanding achievement in the concept and execution of programs within the advancement, alumni, and communications fields in education. Beloit took second place with a silver award in the “Best Alumni/Institution Magazine” category. The magazine was in competition with colleges and universities throughout Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin of relatively similar size (2,900 or fewer students).
CASE stands for the Council for Advancement and Support of Education and is the leading national organization for alumni relations, communications, fundraising, and marketing professionals working in education.
The latest issue of Beloit College Magazine arrived on campus last Friday and is expected to be in mailboxes and on campus shelves in Pearsons and Eaton Chapel by late tomorrow. The online magazine can be viewed here: magazine.beloit.edu.
