September 24, 2013

For the fourth consecutive year, Team Beloit took the top prize—the Shoehorn trophy—in the President’s Open Race portion of the annual Olde English Classic. The steeplechase-style cross country race takes runners over logs, hay bales, scrambling up the sides of muddy ravines and through streams in Beloit’s picturesque Leeson Park.

As far as the collegiate cross country contest, Buccaneer women placed second, while the men’s team took third. Carroll College won both the men’s and women’s races.

The results:

Team Beloit: first place, with a score of 39
