Time for a show of strength, to wear your pride on your sleeve, to dress for success (or if jeans are your thing, dress down). To see what we mean, check out this video.
Enter Blue and Gold Days: a way to visibly show support for Beloit’s student-athletes and teams.
This new initiative is aimed at giving the entire campus a reason to don their college gear – or just their blue and gold – as a show of support for our students and coaches in the Buccaneer Athletics Office who daily step out in our colors and compete for, and represent, the college.
This fall’s Blue and Gold Days are:
Next Wednesday, Sept. 11:
The day of the home tennis match against Lake Forest College at 4 p.m.
Friday, Sept. 20 (Homecoming):
The day before our cross country (hosting the Olde English Classic) and football (who kick-off vs. Lawrence University at 1 p.m.)
Friday, Oct. 25:
On Friday, the volleyball team faces off against Illinois College at Flood Arena at 7 p.m. Saturday, the women’s and men’s soccer teams play Illinois College at home at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., respectively.
Compete for prizes: To inspire some fun, healthy competition (and to further indulge our community’s penchant for dress-up), the Terrarium will be awarding the best dressed department on campus with a traveling trophy and pizza. We will be dropping in on offices and reviewing submitted photos to see who will win. Send your photos and tips to email@example.com.
Gear up: Need to freshen up or expand your apparel options? Today (Friday) Turtle Creek Bookstore is holding a special 50 percent off sale for all clearance apparel (see the racks at the front of the store).
