All Beloit students, first years through seniors: Sign up now for an all-day workshop for "everyday leaders" who want to build a more inclusive campus. This event is taking place Saturday (Aug. 31) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Moore Study Lounge in Pearsons Hall.
To be a strong leader on campus and in your future workplace, being able to work effectively in a diverse environment is incredibly important. Sustained Dialogue is meant to train Beloiters by developing inclusive leaders who engage differences as strengths.
In this high-energy, interactive workshop, you will learn to:
- apply dialogue and inclusive leadership skills in order to transform relationships, better understand sources of conflict, and catalyze action on campus
- learn new frameworks and concepts
- network with leaders from campus groups that you might not otherwise have the chance to connect with
- leave with an introduction to leading your group through Sustained Dialogue’s five-stage dialogue-to-action process.
As with any group process, a set of diverse participants - in all senses of the word - is key for an effective Sustained Dialogue workshop. Your voice is needed at the table and we hope you join us for the upcoming Inclusive Leadership Training!
