The Office of International Education is soliciting applications from first, second, and third-year students to become one of several international ambassadors.
International Ambassadors will help welcome new international students to the Beloit College
campus during the New International Student Orientation this summer, which takes place Aug. 15 through Aug. 18.
IAs will be supervised by the Assistant Director of International Education Josie Inaldo.
Responsibilities will include:
- Serving as a resource to help new international students become familiar with Beloit College
- Helping with check-in
- Possible airport pick-up
- Small group facilitation
- Intercultural communication activities
- Daily debriefing
- Other duties as assigned.
IAs are expected to work several long—but rewarding—exciting days during the New International Student Orientation.
IA training will take place in the afternoon on Aug. 14
There will be compensation for training and orientation. Room and board for the days worked will also be provided, though campus housing is not guaranteed from Aug. 18-25.
