Campus is covered with snow, yes, but Mother Nature is marching steadily towards spring, and with that comes the annual spring occurrence of Advising Practicum.
Shortly after spring break—Wednesday, March 20—classes will be suspended in order to offer current Beloit students an in-depth, intensive, and intentional academic advising.
Though the intentions behind Advising Practicum remain the same, the structure of the day will be tweaked, in response to feedback received on the first three Practica.
“We will be adjusting the schedule of the Practicum this semester so that all-college sessions will be taking place throughout the day,” says Associate Dean of the College Charles Westerberg. “This is opposed to bifurcating the day between all-college sessions and academic department/program sessions.” In doing this, organizers hope to create more opportunities for collaboration between departments.
