What’s up at C-Haus this week? Irish music, 10,000 Blades, and alt-country

January 29, 2013

From C-Haus Manager Steve Olivieri.

Wednesday (Jan. 30): Trivia
Wednesdays are on a roll, and trivia continues. Gather your team and get ready—the first round starts at 10 p.m.

Thursday (Jan. 31): Irish music open session
The stage is open for an Irish music open jam, starting at 9 p.m. All levels and instruments are welcome (although acoustic instruments are preferred). Contact Chris Thulien ( for more information—or come on out any time after we’ve opened and join the session!

Friday (Feb. 1): Zoo Animal/10,000 Blades
The Twin Cities favorite Zoo Animal returns to C-Haus with their “spare, grungy, artfully uneven sound” (MPR) as they create a swirling and introspective world of melody and intimate lyrics. Local, energetic rockers 10,000 Blades will open up at 10 p.m.

Saturday (Feb. 2): Trapper Schoepp and the Shades/Opus Dog
Trapper Schoepp’s songs distill rock, folk, and country traditions into themes of love, adventure, and pride in his home state of Wisconsin. Opus Dog, the latest project from Kirby Jayes, will warm up the stage at 10 p.m.
