Get out and about in Beloit Friday night (video)

November 20, 2012 at 9:08 pm

If you’re looking for something to do Friday night, why not take in an annual holiday tradition in the city of Beloit? From 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, downtown Beloit will be packed as people gather for a  choral sing and hot drinks before taking in a holiday parade and the arrival of Santa Claus, who lights a tree in the downtown plaza at 6 p.m. The parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. New this year, local businesses participated in a window-decorating contest, whose winners will be announced Friday night.

If you’re interested in staying indoors, the Wisconsin Baroque Ensemble will be hosting a free concert Friday at 7:30 p.m. in Eaton Chapel. Freewill donations will be accepted to assist the Department of Music in presenting the performance.
