Meet: Hakim Pinklyn’14, whose proudest moment is yet to come

September 5, 2012

Name: Hakim Pinklyn’14
Hometown: Chicago.
You may have seen me: On the football field, blasting music in Bushnell, in the weight room, or the front desk of the Sports Center.
What are a few of your favorite things? Nike SBs,  football, trap music, raspberry lemonade, free iPhone apps, yelling out "loose squares," and Madison trips.
What can’t you live without? Gummy bears. Seriously probably the greatest creation ever.
Any advice? Say no to drugs, eat your vegetables, if you see a possum it's not a pet, and keep working hard - nothing in life is easy.
What do you do in your free time? Listen and download music, watch ESPN, beat people pretty badly in the video game NBA 2K, and sleep.
Beatles or Stones? Beatles, because they have more hip-hop samples.
Proudest moment? Proudest moment didn't happen yet: it's when I get handed the diploma and my mother starts to shed a couple of tears because I completed my time at Beloit College.
If you were auditioning for American Idol, what song would you sing? "1+1" by Beyonce.
What are you most looking forward to? Winter break.
