You might remember Beloiter Jacob Williams'11 from his comedy performances on campus; now you can see him on network TV as he takes his routine to NBC's "America's Got Talent" Monday (June 18) at 7 p.m.
Recent grads Ian Hedges'12 and Karin Carlson'12 tipped the Terrarium off about Williams' appearance. If this video preview is any indication, Williams has the comedic chops to crack up judges Howard Stern, Sharon Osbourne, and Howie Mandel.
To see how the rest of his jokes fare, tune in Monday night!
UPDATE: Shortly after the latest audition episode aired on Monday, Williams' performance was being called the highlight of the show's season thus far by one website. But more impressive than this praise (or the standing ovation that followed his set) were the compliments handed out by the judges. Sharon Osborne, asked "Where have you been hiding?" (Williams answered, "Chicago, I guess."). Howey Mandell called the performance "amazing" and Howard Stern found it "spectacular." Stay tuned for more updates on the Terrarium as the competition progresses. (And Jacob, if you're reading, good luck-- and send pictures!)
