Google+, Blogger now part of Beloit’s Google Apps for Education

April 18, 2012

The Web committee recently approved enabling Google+ and Blogger in Beloit College’s Google Apps for Education (GAE) environment. These applications are a welcome addition to Beloit's GAE environment, as ISR has already had requests from a number of faculty who wish to use them in their classes.

You should now see these applications as options on the list in the top-right-hand corner of the screen when you are logged into any of Beloit's GAE applications. You may also click on the  Google+ and  Blogger links to access the apps directly and log in with your account.

Before you start to use  Blogger or  Google+, you should be aware that the content you place in these two applications is not governed by the college’s data confidentiality agreement with Google. Information placed in  Google+ or  Blogger is subject to data mining by Google. This does include situations where the Web access to the content is restricted.

Please refer to the GAE Information Web page for more information about Beloit's Google applications. If you need any assistance, please contact the IT Help Desk at ext. 2067 or by emailing
