Meet Jen Droege, the new LAPC program coordinator

April 2, 2012

Jen Droege

Name: Jen Droege

Occupation: Program coordinator, Liberal Arts in Practice Center.

Hometown/residence: Rockton, Ill., via Seattle and Cincinnati; I'm originally from Cleveland.

You may have seen me: Trying to find my way around campus, as I just joined the staff!

What are a few of your favorite things? The change of seasons, spending an afternoon trying a new recipe, listening to my boys giggle.

Favorite meal? My favorite meal ever was this amazing salmon sandwich I had on the Isle of Skye 11 years ago. It was the first time I realized the power of really good food. If I'm ever offered a last meal, that would be it.

What can’t you live without? Besides my husband and my boys? Sadly, my Kindle and my iPhone.

Any advice? Be patient. Things really do work out the way they are supposed to, even if it doesn't seem like it at the time.

What do you do in your free time? Read, cook, and support my sad Cleveland sports teams.

Who are your heroes? My parents, for teaching me the importance of hard work, kindness, and grace. And teachers.

Which talent would you most like to have? Even the tiniest ability to draw or paint.

What are you most looking forward to? Right now, trips with friends and family in the coming months.
