Remember when Beloit won the Paul Simon Award? The award—issued by the world’s largest international education association, NAFSA—is one of the field’s highest honors, bestowed for “overall excellence in internationalization efforts as evidenced in practices, structures, philosophies, and policies.”

This week, NAFSA released the 2011 Internationalizing the Campus Report: Profiles of Success at Colleges and Universities, which profiles eight educational institutions. Beloit, winner of the 2011 Senator Paul Simon Award for Campus Internationalization, is among them as an example of integrating study abroad experiences with curriculum and “student intentionality” about study-abroad choices.
