MEET: Lizzi Belmont’14, who loves good handwriting

November 15, 2011

Name: Lizzi Belmont’14
Major: Undecided.
Hometown/residence: Newport, Ore.
You may have seen me: At the Hendricks Center, Art House, the LAPC, or on the Theta porch.
What are a few of your favorite things? Boots, puns, tomatoes, NPR, good handwriting.
What three items go in your desert island backpack? Blanket, computer (it would magically work, I promise) and one of my pets.
What’s on your desert island jukebox? Beyonce, etc. Also “Butterfly” by Crazy Town.
Any do-over requests to lodge with the universe? Naw.
Favorite meal? Summer vegetable, steak, and oyster barbecue.
What can’t you live without? Friends, family, pets, coffee, computer, good food.
Any advice? Jumping into something without looking is really not as bad as you might think.
What do you do in your free time? Dance, Theta Pi Gamma, converse with friends, Round Table of course, cooking and baking.
If you could be reincarnated, what person/thing would you like to be? A cat.
Who are your top-three fantasy dinner party guests? Katharine Hepburn, Roald Dahl and Winston Churchill.
What gets you up in the morning? Coffee. Thank god I have a proper kitchen this year.
Who are your heroes? I don't really have any. It's cheesy, but I really admire my parents.
Which talent would you most like to have? Photographic memory.
Beatles or Stones? I'm more of a Beatles girl myself.
What’s your favorite hidden gem here in the area? I love Rose's Soul Food. It's a bit slow, but SO good, and such kind people.
What’s the number one thing on your bucket list? To prevent the suffering of other people.
Proudest moment? I don't think that I have one yet.
If you were auditioning for American Idol, what song would you sing? I would rather "So you think you can dance."
What are you most looking forward to? Figuring out what I am going to do with my life.
