The championship teams of the Madison, Milwaukee, and Green Bay Wisconsin Fall Ball high-school leagues will meet at Beloit on Sunday to determine a state champion.
“It will be a tremendous opportunity to showcase our brand-new facilities at Strong Stadium to high school lacrosse players and the Wisconsin lacrosse community, as well as provide the Beloit community with a sneak peak at lacrosse,” says Men’s Lacrosse Head Coach Bob Dignazio.
The tournament came together while Dignazio was having a conversation with a lacrosse coach from DeForest.
“He actually visited Strong Stadium last week, was very impressed with the new field, track, and scoreboard, and has been spreading the word to boys' and girls' high school coaches in Wisconsin,” says Dignazio. “Our Office of Admissions will offer tours to families attending the games, so they will be able to see our campus as well.”
Besides giving the student athletes a taste of Beloit College, the event gives current Beloiters who may be unfamiliar with the sport the chance to get a sneak peak at the action, which begins Sunday at 10 a.m. at Strong Stadium. Click here for a full schedule of the days events.
